Hi, my name’s Nathan, and photography has been a big part of my life. As a photographer, I've always been fascinated by light and the incredible difference it can make.

Light can completely transform the way something looks, feels and is experienced. The right light can make a space feel warm, calm and inviting, while the wrong lighting can make even the most beautiful room feel flat and uninviting. But when it came to lighting my own home, I kept running into the same problem. Wherever I wanted light, I needed to be near a power point, deal with messy cables or settle for harsh overhead lighting.

Then I discovered portable, rechargeable lamps, and it completely changed the way I thought about lighting. Suddenly, I could place beautiful, warm light exactly where I wanted it. On the dining table, beside the bed, on a bookshelf or outside on the patio. No cables. No searching for a power point. Just beautiful light, wherever it was needed.

As a photographer, I see light a little differently. I'm always noticing how it falls across a room, creates shadows, changes colours and completely transforms the atmosphere of a space. And that's what inspired me to create Lambent.
